Immunizations

To access the Immunizations module, click Immunizations under the title Health in the left-hand sidebar. Before you can enter records, you must first choose the child in the selection box provided.


The data grid provides an entry place for the Immunizations. The fields available are detailed below:

  • Date - the date on which the vaccination occurred
  • Vaccines - list of vaccines administered (these can be configured by going to Setup > Vaccines)
  • Admin. By - the attending physician or nurse at the vaccination (the list of physicians, nurses, and medical facilities are defined in Contacts > Doctors/Clinics/Hospitals) 
  • Exempt - check if the child is medically exempt from this vaccine
  • Requires Notice - check if a health notice should be generated for this student's immunization--the notes field is use as the message on the notice (available by running the Health Notices report)
  • Sig. on File - check if a physician's or nurse's signature is on file
  • Notes - additional notes pertaining to the immunization


The student selected can be changed by searching for and selecting a new student in the dropdown box at the top of the page.

When all notices are distributed to the students, click Mark All Notices Distributed at the top of the page. It will remove the Needs Review check from all health records. (not just immunizations)


Reports

There are several reports which show the data entered on this page. They are as follows:

Immunizations - displays are immunizations given and predicts future immunizations (more info on the report here)

Health Notices - displays all health records with Needs Review checked (more info on the report here)
