Health Exams

To access the Health Exams module, click Health Exams under the title Health in the left-hand sidebar. Before you can enter records, you must first choose the child in the selection box provided.


The data grid provides an entry place for the exams. The fields available are detailed below:

  • Date - the date on which the exam occurred
  • Height - the height of the student in inches
  • Weight - the weight of the patient in pounds
  • BMI - Body Mass Index. This is auto generated by Candle
  • BFP - Body Fat Percentage. This is auto generated by Candle
  • Notes - Notes about the exam. These will be printed on the patron notice if you choose to print them.
  • Grade - what grade this student had the exam in
  • Requires Notice - check if a health notice should be generated for this student's exam--the notes field is use as the message on the notice (available by running the Health Notices report)


The student selected can be changed by searching for and selecting a new student in the dropdown box at the top of the page.

When all notices are distributed to the students, click Mark All Notices Distributed at the top of the page. It will remove the Needs Review check from all health records. (not just health exams)
