Moving Candle

If you are reading this, you are probably hoping to move Candle to a new computer.We will detail the steps below.

On the old machine:

  • Go to Candle and click Setup.
  • Under the section System Maintenance, click Backups.
  • Choose the green button that says Run Backup Now.
  • When the backup is completed, choose Download on the right-hand side.
  • This downloads the backup to your Downloads folder. (usually C:\Users\user_name\Downloads)
  • Move this file to a flash drive, or otherwise, move it to the new machine.

On the new machine:

  1. Open Candle on the new machine.
  2. On the Welcome page, click Get Started.
  3. When prompted, selected Existing Setup. Then click Choose File.
  4. Select the file to upload and choose Open.
  5. Finally, click Upload File.
  6. When the restore is completed, you will be redirected to the home page where you can use the system as normal.
