Transitioning to a New Year

Preparing for a New Year

  1. In preparation for a new year, the first step is creating the new school term. This can be done by going to Setup > School Terms > Add School Term.
  2. Correct any information here, including the amount of school days and number of marking periods. Also, make corrections to any updated school information, as this is what prints on the new term's reports. (school logo upload is not get functional)
  3. Click Save. This will automatically create student groups, based on available Grade Levels, (configured in Setup > Grade Levels) and move up each student one grade.

Students No Longer Attending

If you have students that are no longer part of your school, simply remove their names from the student groups they were part of. For example, if Tyler Martin is no longer in 7th grade, go to Setup > Student Groups > 7th Grade, and remove his name from the list by clicking the little trash can icon beside his name.
